A juried competition fostering and bringing awareness to high quality films and videos from the Midwest region. Shorts and features are eligible for Jury and Audience Awards. There is a separate student category. CASH PRIZES WILL BE AWARDED FOR BEST FEATURE FICTION, BEST FEATURE DOCUMENTARY AND BEST SHORT. TO BE ELIGIBLE: 1. The film was independently produced. 2. The film’s director and/or producer and/or production house is currently, or within the last five years, based or reside(s) 40% of the time in the 12-state Midwest region of the U.S. (listed below). OR At least 40% of the film was shot, or production budget was spent, somewhere in the 12-state Midwest region of the U.S. (listed below). The 12-state Midwest region consists of: Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota or Wisconsin. Less
