We define peace very broadly and include categories not usually associated with a "peace film" festival. For instance, we have programmed Sci-Fi and comedies in previous festivals and love to see different takes on these subjects. We are looking for narratives that tell stories from around the world; stories that address the issues of poverty, injustice, violence, greed and fear - fear of people who are different, who will take our jobs, who don't believe in our god. "An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure" might be an inspiration. We are looking for works that illustrate in a thousand ways how peace can be achieved and how it gets destroyed.
