MoreSo your films isn't a Short (20-minutes or less), it's not a Light Documentary (70-minutes or longer) and it ain't no Feature (75+ minutes) -- THIS is the category for you. We've found some of the most fantastic movie-making gems where the filmmaker/s knew to make the film as long (or as short) as it needed to be. You didn't shoe-horn your film into 20-minutes just so it could get into festivals, or make it way longer than it needed to be so it'd qualify as a feature. All films in this category are over 20 minutes and less than 70 minutes. Seemingly 'in the middle', these films are the very essence of INDEPENDENCE!
Returning (ALUMNI) filmmakers who have submitted to EIFF in 2005 or later, and filmmakers with an ALBERTA residence all have submission fees WAIVED this year.
