CATEGORY RULES
ADVANCE PRESS SCREENINGS

Press screenings begin as early as August.
•Press must begin screening at least 8 weeks in advance to run film reviews during the festival and to consider interviews. If you want reviews and if you prefer theatrical screenings, please be prepared to ship within a 6 week period beginning in August. 35mm prints that must be returned and shipped again for the festival showing will be at the expense of the filmmaker. We also have the capability to theatrically screen on DVD if it is of top quality (made from the original print).
•Advance theatrical press screenings will not be scheduled until we have received the print of your film.

PUBLICITY

•To help us maximize publicity for your film, once your film has been accepted, please provide 6 vhs or dvd screeners for press unable to attend theatrical press.
•1 set e-mailable press notes as one unit in pdf or word format (include synopsis, cast/crew list, bios of cast, director and producer(s)
•3 color photos representative of your film via e-mail in 300 dpi jpg format
•1 color photo of your director
•1 Beta SP Trailers or Clips from your film for TV use
• Four movie posters
• a list of quick fun stories about the making of your film
• your film's website address
• contact name and/or distributor, phone number and e-mail address.

If selected, your entry through withoutabox.com authorizes us to show clips on television for marketing and/or news programs. If a film is selected, filmmaker authorizes the film to play again if it wins an award or selected for future outreach screenings in St Augustine, Amelia Island, and Grand Bahama Island. Once a film has been selected, it cannot be pulled by the filmmaker. All material for the Professional Competition must be received by August 20. Once a film is submitted and previewed for acceptance it cannot be withdrawn.
