STUDENT SUBMISSIONS- The student submission fee is minimal. All students submitting films MUST include a copy of their student ID with their submission.

Rough cuts and works-in-progress are eligible for submission, it is the filmmakers responsibility to clearly indicate at the point of submission that their work is a "work in progress".

Films and videos should be of interest to lesbians, gay men, bisexual, intersex and/or transgendered people. We are seeking narrative, documentary, experimental and animated film and videos. Works must not have been already exhibited publicly or been broadcast on television in South Florida (including the Miami, Fort Lauderdale and Palm Beach areas), or released on home video in the United States prior to June 1, 2013.

DVD screeners are the preferred format for submission. Preview screeners must be clearly labeled with the title of the work, running time, filmmaker’s name, and contact telephone number. Please test consumer-burned DVD on several makes and models of players before submitting to our offices.

If you wish to be notified upon receipt of your materials please include a self-addressed stamped post card (The FLGLFF will retain preview screeners of works selected and invited to exhibit in our annual festival line-up). Submissions and submissions materials will not be returned.

A completed entry must be included with every submission. If you are submitting more than one entry, please complete a separate submission entry for each additional title submitted.

Enclosing as full a press kit as possible, including photos, is strongly encouraged with the submission and will be required upon acceptance. JPEG stills must be 300 dpi (dots per inch) and can be sent to lynaremglff@gmail.com

The festival’s internal deadline for locking the program is late August 2013. All selected and invited films must be finished and available to the MGLFF for exhibition mid October 2013.

Works in languages other than English must be subtitled for exhibition at the Festival.

Final program decisions will be made on or around August 20, 2013. You will be notified of programming decisions by email.

By submitting your work to the FLGLFF you grant the FLGLFF a non-exclusive license to use an excerpt of your film (if selected) for up to 3 minutes for TV and other promotional purposes.
