Category Rules

Your film should begin after 10 seconds of black, if you can. DO NOT SEND A SCREENER WITH COPYRIGHT CRAWLS OR OCCASSIONAL PROPERTY MESSAGES

Entry fees are non-refundable.

Entrants entering films must fill out ALL the information that WAB requests. If you want to enter your film into the Long Island Film Festival, please be aware that we will not accept films entered into another film festival within a 35 mile radius of our venue in Hauppauge, NY

Notice of venue change, substitution or cancellation: Entrant understands and accepts that due to acts of nature, or unforeseen issues beyond the control of the Long Island Film Festival, a host venue may at any time be changed, substituted or cancelled.

The Long Island Film Festival is hereby granted the right to utilize an excerpt from any film submitted and accepted for exhibition at the Festival for promotional purposes.

The individual or corporation submitting the film hereby warrants that it is authorized to commit the film for screening, and understands and accepts these requirements and regulations.

The undersigned shall indemnify and hold harmless the Long Island Film Festival from and against any and all claims, liabilities, losses, damages, and expenses (including but not limited to attorney's fees, and court costs) which may be incurred by reason of any claim involving copyright, trademark, credits, publicity, screening, and loss of or damage to the screening videos entered.
