Winner of the Documentary Feature Competition as selected by the Documentary Feature Jury.

Audience Choice Award

Silver Heart Award
The award is bestowed on an individual or film for their dedication to fighting injustices and/or creating social change for the improvement of humanity, as selected by the Silver Heart Jury. The winner of the Silver Heart Award receives a $10,000 cash prize courtesy of the Embrey Family Foundation.

Category Rules

Documentaries under 25 minutes should be submitted as shorts. Documentary feature films must be over 60 minutes in length.

In order for feature films to be considered for the competition, we require a Dallas/Fort Worth Premiere.

Documentary features in competition cannot have U.S distribution at the time of the festival screening.
