Category Rules

Entries submitted must be submitted as either Comedy, Animated, Drama, Musical or Documentary to be considered in this niche category in addition to this category.

Please include with your submission a brief statement on how you feel your film fits into this category and tell us how you came up with your film.

Please also submit a copy of your STUDENT ID with your submission or copy of academic schedule.

Entries will be judged on criteria including but not limited to technique, production quality, creative direction, creative producing, cinematography, editing and overall visual story.

With submission to this category, entrant allows GVIFF to submit their film to our partner Upstate Youth Film Festival.

If accepted, entrant must provide EPK (Electronic Press Kit) complete with 3 still photographs, poster, and digital online trailer.

We also encourage a 2 minute Film Bio with filmmaker discussion will be requested from each accepted entry. This 'film bio' will be used in order to help your audience to get a deeper understanding and appreciation for your film.
