SpIFF will award the following prizes: Audience Choice - Feature, Audience Choice - Short, Best Feature, Best Documentary, Best Short, Most Promising Filmmaker, and Best Northwest Production. Honorable mentions are also given in each category. Films of special merit may earn additional prizes

Category Rules

Films submitted to the Northwest Mid-Length Film Category should run 15 to 50 minutes and have a significant Pacific Northwest component, including Washington, Idaho, Oregon, British Columbia, and Alberta. The film submissions can be from a variety of genres.

Submission Format: Submit preview copies as WAB secure online screener, DVD or Blu-Ray.

Presentation Format: We will exhibit accepted works as 35mm, Blu-Ray, DVD or a format mutually agreed upon by SpIFF and the filmmaker.

Notification: The Festival will notify, by email, all submissions on or before January 3, 2014 whether or not their film has been selected for SpIFF.

Loss and Damage: Every precaution will be taken to safeguard all materials submitted to the festival. However, we cannot accept or assume responsibility in the event of loss or damage.

Combined Entries Accepted: Entries may be submitted individually or in a combined package, but must include:

> Entry fee for each entry as appropriate for categories,

> Self-addressed stamped mailing package if you wish your work returned.

Please note: If your work is accepted for SpIFF, we prefer electronic press kits with the exception of paper press kit materials such as posters, fliers, and postcards. Paper press kits submitted for SpIFF use will not be returned.
