The competition

Films of all subjects and styles will be considered for selection. All films entered into the competition must have been produced after January 1, 2012, and must be no more than 30 minutes in length. We welcome films that have already been screened at other film events. Above all, we are looking for films that are original, creative and that tell an engaging story.

Guidelines for submitting a film to the festival

A maximum of three short films may be submitted by each film maker. However in this case only one short film from each director may be admitted in the competition.

Films in Italian language must be supplied with:
1. A DVD of the short film (or a VHS standard PAL or a multimedia FILE);
2. An application form;
3. A synopsis of the short film;
4. A director’s complete BIO-FILMOGRAPHY.

Films not in Italian must be supplied with:

1. A copy of the short film with English or Italian subtitles (DVD, or a multimedia FILE);
2. A copy of the short film without subtitles (DVD or a multimedia FILE);
3. The completed application form;
4. A written synopsis of the film;
5. A short biography of the director focusing on activities as a film maker.

All participants must send:

1. A photo of the film maker that the applicant gives the permission to publish;
2. Still frame photographs of the film that the applicant gives the permission to publish;
3. Promotional materials (cards, posters, playbills, etc), if applicable.

The directors give authorization to the Board of Organizers to publish the supplied material only for promotional purpose.
The DVD of the films will not be returned and will become part of the Festival archives.
