Category Rules

Films submitted to the International Short Film category can be narrative or documentary and must have a total run time under 45 minutes with no distribution anywhere in the world. International submissions in foreign languages must include English subtitles in submission screeners and selected film exhibition formats. International Short films must have been primarily financed and produced outside the U.S.A. Any films primarily financed and produced in the U.S.A. should be submitted in the U.S. Short Film category. Student Short films (university level), Youth Films (high school and younger), Music Videos, Animation and experimental films should be submitted in their respective categories, regardless if they are International in origin.
