Prizes & Awards

This category is a competition.

1st Place
$2500 in cash & award prize value. CFA will produce a 3-Minute “Sizzle Reel” for the 1st Place Winner. A listing of your script on InkTip
Cash Award Value: 2,500 U.S. Dollar
Value of Goods/Services: 7,500 U.S. Dollar

2nd Place
$1,000 in cash & award prize value. A listing of your script on InkTip

3rd Place
$500 in cash & award prize value. A listing of your script on InkTip.
Cash Award Value: 500 U.S. Dollar

Category Rules

Script Guidelines:

60 - 125 pg. maximum – Must be in traditional script format (Pdf file preferred) – Accepting all Genres - Must be original, unproduced, and in English - Must submit screenplay between March 1st thru July 31st of 2012 – $40 (US dollars) Submission Fee - CAFF Competition Associates, their affiliates, & family members may not participate in contest - Entries will not be returned – No refunds

All applicants will receive constructive feedback from judges and associates.

All entries will not be accepted after September 1st.

Scripts that are already produced do not qualify.

Carmel International Film Festival reserves the right to make necessary changes in competition policies and procedures at any time. Including postponements and cancellations.

By submitting your screenplay you are representing that your screenplay is original and are not infringing on copyright material. You, the Applicant, takes full responsibility and ownership of the property you are about to submit. Full names of all authors must be submitted during application to receive credit.

All other rules and regulations of the Carmel International Film Festival apply to screen writers as it pertains to originality, copyright, usage, promotional use, and trademarks use and regulations.
