CATEGORY RULES
Please read the below guidelines (“Entry Guidelines”) prior to submitting your film.

Entering Project Twenty1's Philadelphia Film & Animation Festival:
Student Films may be of any length!

Student Films can be produced during any year, as we feel there is no expiration date on great films. Films that could be considered pornographic, obscene, illegal, hateful, libelous or any other material which Project Twenty1 determines is offensive or inappropriate may be disqualified without notice. Please be sure you own the rights to everything in your film (including music rights!!) before submitting. All physical entries become the property of Project Twenty1 and will not be returned.

Screener Disc Formats
Initial submission screeners are accepted on DVD only. Region free DVDs (NTSC or PAL) are preferred for prescreening purposes, but Region 1 DVDs are also acceptable.

DVD discs or packaging must be labeled with film title, filmmaker name, phone & email. Avoid paper labels wherever possible, as they may warp or tear and prevent DVD from playing. Sharpie, ink jet, or screen-printing on disc is a superior way to insure the disc plays in a majority of players.

When shipping, include:
• Your film
• Withoutabox Reference Number
• Any relevant Press Materials (not required, but requested)

Selected Films
The festival program will be announced by August 21, 2013. All submitting filmmakers will be notified at that time by the email provided at the time of submission.

If your film is selected for the festival program as an Official Selection, you must provide an exhibition copy on DVD, BluRay or digital file, which must be received by September 1st, 2013. If we do not have a suitable exhibition copy (for example, only a copy with watermarks) by September 1st, we will replace your film in the program.

SUBMISSION FEES WILL NOT BE REFUNDED FOR ANY REASON.

Bonus Feature of Philadelphia Film & Animation Festival:

Enter our Film Library! Project Twenty1 can retain your film in our archives, and whether or not it becomes an Official Selection for the 2013 Philadelphia Film & Animation Festival, if an opportunity presents itself to exhibit your film elsewhere, we may utilize it, regardless of when you submitted. This also means you need not submit the same film to us more than once, unless you make revisions or improvements. Check the appropriate box on this form to engage this option. If you are seeking exposure for your film more than a sales agent or distribution, this option is highly recommended!

Good luck!
