One Minute Movie is the micro short film competition set up and run by Norwich Film Festival. We accept sixty second short films of any genre or style. Films will be judged by our panel of experts with selected films being chosen to be screened throughout the main Norwich Film Festival schedule. Selected films will also be shown on various other media as chosen by Norwich Film Festival.

One Minute Movie is open to all. Films must have a run time of exactly sixty seconds, no more or less. This includes titles and credits. Any style of film, as well as any genre is acceptable. Norwich Film Festival reserves the right to refuse entry to any film at any time. We also reserve the right to terminate, suspend or modify either the contest or the official rules at any time.
Any film which does not fulfil these requirements will be disqualified. No refunds will be given.

Entry process
First, check that your film is exactly sixty seconds long.
Films which are less than or more than 60 seconds will be immediately disqualified from consideration and no refunds will be given.
All films must be entered online via www.withoutabox.com. No postal or email submissions will be accepted.
If you enter this contest, you are accepting our terms and conditions. All films will then be reviewed by our panel of judges and some films will be selected for screening during the 2018 Norwich Film Festival. All our judges’ decisions are final. No further correspondence will be entered into.
Filmmakers whose work has been selected for the festival will be required to complete a press pack if they wish to have their details included in our printed and online publicity materials.

Entry requirements
All films must be exactly sixty seconds long.
Films must be submitted online via the portals mentioned above.
Non-English films must be given English subtitles.
Norwich Film Festival reserves the right to refuse entry to any film at its own discretion. Any film that displays excessive violence, sexually explicit scenes, scenes of a libellous nature, or anything else deemed inappropriate will be disqualified without refund.
Films will not be allowed to promote or advertise products or services.

Selection process
Films will be viewed as and when they are received, but the selection process will take place between January and August 2018.
Winning films will be selected by our panel of judges, and announced by September 2018.
If you have not been notified by then, assume that your entry has not been successful.
Our panel’s decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into regarding the selection process.
If your film is selected you will be requested to provide a full press kit for publication and promotion. You will be required to allow Norwich Film Festival rights to use footage, photos / stills, titles and information from the film for promotional purposes.

If any person(s) appearing in any film is (are) under the age of majority in their place of residence, the signature of a parent of legal guardian is required with each release. All signatures must be original.
If you submit your film to the Norwich Film Festival you are accepting that you have taken every reasonable effort to obtain these legal clearances and that you will be able to provide them if required by law.
