Prizes & Awards

This category is a competition.

Corporate Award Winners - Writer & Director
This is a bonus category that all entrants are eligible to enter for free as long as they've entered a project in at least one other main category. Here's how it works: Phase One/Writers: Our corporate partner will give a call to action for a specific short film project. Writers will then have two weeks to submit their treatment and script to RIFF/The MiX. After the corporate sponsor reviews all submitted material, a winning script will be selected. Phase Two/Filmmakers: The winning script will then be submitted to all entrants who would like to compete for crafting the script's direction. These directors will have two weeks to complete their vision & storyboard for the script. The corporate sponsor will then select the director with the winning concept. The two winners will be awarded $250 cash prize each, and get co-credit for their work. See the rules & guidelines page for full details. In addition, these winners will receive: Sony Vegas Pro (valued at $600) & a 1 Year Preferred Membership to the Media Industry Xchange (valued at $175)
Cash Award Value: 500 U.S. Dollar
Value of Goods/Services: 1,550 U.S. Dollar
This prize is shared with other categories.
