Best Narrative Feature
For the past several years, the jury prize has been a $10,000 camera rental package from Panavision. Recent jurors in this category have included Oscar-winning actress Melissa Leo, Indiewire critic Eric Kohn, producer Effie Brown (Dear White People), critic and industry writer Matt Singer, Michelle Satter of the Sundance Institute, Matt Grady of Factory 25, Michael Gottwald (producer of Beasts of the Southern Wild), and critic Peter Knegt. Recent jury winners include Chained for Life (dir. Aaron Schimberg) in 2018; Victor's History (dir. Nicolas Chevaillier) in 2017; The Other Kids (dir. Chris Brown) in 2016; Embers (dir. Claire Carre) in 2015; and Proud Citizen (dir. Thom Southerland) in 2014.

Audience Choice Award
All narrative features are eligible for an Audience Award, based on ballots submitted by audience members. Past award winners have included Driving While Black, It's a Disaster, The Retrieval, and King of Herrings.

Category Rules

Prior Screenings:
- Entries may not have been publicly screened in the greater New Orleans area prior to the festival.

Exhibition Copies:
- If accepted, the final screening copy of your film must be in our office no later than September 5, 2019.

Updated Submissions:
- If you make substantial changes to your film after it is submitted, you may send us an updated version. However, depending on where the film is in our selection process, we cannot guarantee that the newer version will be screened.

Competition:
- All competitive slots are filled by films that officially submit. No films are invited to submit for competition screenings.
