Category Rules

Screenplays may be from 30-120 pages in length; teleplay submissions must be in half-hour or hour formats. Screenplay and teleplay submissions must not have been previously optioned, purchased or produced. Screenplays must not have received awards from other competitions over $500.00 at the time of entry. Screenplays must be in English, formatted in 12-point courier font.

In the event of multiple writers, list all additional co-writers. For screenplays longer than 120 pages, fifteen dollars is added to the regular entry fees.

SCRIPT REGISTRY: To protect your script, we strongly suggest you register your work with the Writers Guild of America, (www.wga.org or call 323 782 4500) and the US Copyright Office (http://www.copyright.gov/).

Please submit all entries in either .DOC or .PDF formats, with a maximum file size of 500 mb.

Please read the following terms and conditions in connection with your screenplay entry to the 2012 Art Pages Screenplay / Teleplay Contest (APSTC). As the author of the screenplay I/we have submitted to APSTC, I/we warrant as sole and exclusive owner/s of all legal right and title thereto have absolute authority to submit the screenplay to APSTC. I/we will indemnify and hold harmless APSTC, its judges, sponsors and partners, individually and collectively, from and against all claims, demands, losses, damages, costs, liabilities and expenses including legal expenses arising out of or in connection with any and all third party claims based on scripts submitted to APSTC. APSTC winners will permit APSTC to use their name and/or likeness in post-competition publicity. By sending this application I/we understand and agree to all the terms and conditions of screenplay/teleplay entry.
