Category Rules

Films entered into this category can be up to 40 minutes long. This year's theme is ImaginEarth. Filmmakers are encouraged to combine their interpretation of the theme with a forest-related topic to create their films.

The Student category is for individual students still in grades K-12. This category is also for K-12 classes who may submit as group. An individual aged 18 who is still in high school may enter in the Student category.

All film styles (documentary, animated, stop-motion, etc.) are accepted. Amateur and professional independent filmmakers of any age and at any stage in their career may enter. You may enter more than once, but each film requires a separate submission and a separate entry fee. Films entered must be completed after December 31, 2013.

Please see General Festival Rules for additional rules that apply to all entries.
