This category is a competition.

Best of Fest Award
Up to two Action films will be awarded a "Best Of" honor. Junior Division winners are students 16 and under. Senior Division winners are students 17 and older. Both "Best Of" films will be screened at the 50th Chicago International Film Festival.

Category Rules

Young visionaries let their voices be heard at Cinema/Chicago’s CineYouth Festival. Celebrating its tenth year May 8-10, 2014, the CineYouth festival showcases and celebrates filmmakers 21 years old and younger.

CineYouth brings filmmakers of all ages and from around the country together to share their work, learn together, and be inspired by each other.

Submission deadlines:
CineYouth 2014 entries are accepted beginning December 2. Film submissions to CineYouth 2014 must be POSTMARKED by March 21, 2014 to be considered.

Eligibility:
-The film's director(so) must have been 21 years old or younger at time of filming
-All films must be in English or subtitled in English
-The length of all submissions must be 10 minutes or less, including credits
-Past submissions to CineYouth can not be resubmitted
