American Conservation Film Festival
2015 Submission Guidelines

The American Conservation Film Festival is dedicated to promoting outstanding films and the arts to educate and inspire people to become engaged in conservation. The motivating force behind ACFF is the power of imagery to engage, inform and inspire.
Provides a venue for diverse range of conservation films that rarely receive a wide showing;
Celebrates conservation film and video in the fun, eclectic atmosphere of historic Shepherdstown, WV;
Showcases independent, historic, publicly funded and Appalachian films;
Offers an education component that complements the film selections and supports those interested in conservation filmmaking;
Supports young filmmakers as they are beginning their careers.

ACFF is interested in:
• The myriad ways humans interact with wildlife and wild places.
• Issues driven by natural resource conservation.
• Humans as part of the environment, and/or living in a continuum of cultural tradition.
• Conservation of cultures, communities, and or lifestyles in conjunction with changes in the natural world.
• How youths encounter and understand the natural world.

Films that are selected by ACFF are chosen by a committee of media and conservation professionals. The quality of storytelling, production value, aesthetics, and topic are principle factors in the selection of films for ACFF.

All films being submitted to ACFF shall have completed production in the past 2 years, and will be duplicated for internal use by the selection committee and board of directors.

Since submission of a film constitutes acceptance of these Entry Rules & Regulations (by filmmakers and their agents), please review the following carefully.

To be eligible for consideration:
(1) Entrants must comply with all of these Entry Rules & Regulations, including deadline(s) and entry material requirements, and selected film requirements
(2) Non-English language works must either have English subtitles or be dubbed into English.
(3) Student Films must be produced by a student enrolled in an accredited school (high school, university or graduate school)

The selection committee will review all films submitted and filmmakers will be notified (by email via the information provided through withoutabox) on or around September 4, 2015 as to the selection committee decisions.

If we select your film you will need to provide:
