Narrative feature rules:
Narrative features are films that are longer than 50 minutes and may be from any genre. While the category is named 'narrative' we are looking for original voices with unique material.
Feature length films are pretty much the pinnacle of independent film. If you've managed to muster the resources, the time and the energy to put a feature together, then our hats are off to you! We accept television pilots in this category as well, for instance, if you have a two-hour pilot for an hour long drama, this would be the right category for that material. If it were just the hour long drama, that would likely be placed in the "narrative shorts" category.
If you've got it, send it! Experimental films, art house, dramas, horror, action films, thrillers, we simply love film at SaMo Indie. If it resonates with our staff, we'll program it! And, unlike most festivals out there, our screening team is entirely comprised of people who actually work in the film industry and have a combined total of over 40 years experience!
There are no wannabe film critics or senior citizen volunteer screeners here. When you submit to SaMo Indie, your film will be seen by people who live, breathe and actually work in film! As long as it's not illegal, we are interested in seeing your film!
