Spooky Movie International Horror Film Festival Feature Film Award
ONE winner of the 2013 Spooky Movie International Horror Film Festival Feature Film Award will be selected to screen on Opening Night at the AFI Silver Theatre on October 10, 2013.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

Entries must be submitted on 1/2" (standard VHS in NTSC format) videocassette or NTSC DVD.
We consider any work longer than 35 minutes to be a “feature.”
Foreign language work must be dubbed or subtitled in English.
Eligible features, videos, shorts and documentaries must have been completed after January 1, 2011.

Submissions postmarked by the deadline date.

Cost of shipping exhibition prints to the festival is the responsibility of the entrant.
Exhibition copies must be sent to the festival prepaid.
The festival does not accept responsibility for damage or loss of materials while in transit.
Please use only plastic or bubble pack cases when shipping entries.


SELECTION AND NOTIFICATION AND INFORMATION

The top TEN finalists will be announced July 31, 2013.

The top FIVE films, including the Opening Night Feature winner, will be announced with the full schedule in September 2013.

Programming decisions are made by the festival directors and selection committee.
Enclose a stamped, self-addressed postcard if you want confirmation that your entry has been received. We also encourage you to check your Withoutabox account to see if your materials have been received.
If accepted, the presentational format will need to be in our office by September 2, 2013.
The festival DOES NOT pay rental fees for submitted work that is programmed.
The festival DOES NOT pay for travel or lodging.
Be sure to indicate aspect ratio of your film/video and all special screening/presentation information.
Eligible Films will be available for additional public screenings in advertising of the festival, including commercials, cable television, the internet and special promotional events. Filmmakers will be notified and can opt out of future screenings, however, clips of all accepted films will be used to promote the Festival for publicity purposes.
