Filmbox Movie Award
Filmbox Movie Award is given to the best independently produced art-house film submitted to the competition.

Cash Award Value: 50,000 U.S. Dollar


CATEGORY RULES
FilmBox Art Movie Award OR Filmbox Movie Award is an annual competition program addressed to independent filmmakers who are seeking the opportunity to win a cash prize of $50,000 and to have their work exhibited on the FilmBox Art TV channel. The organizers will review the submitted films and will select 200 final entries which will be eligible for the cash prize provided they have entered a licensing agreement allowing SPI International to acquire non-exclusive worldwide TV and VoD rights to exhibit the submitted film on the Filmbox Art channel and the related VoD services.
Submission requirements
Only narrative feature films of no less than 60 minutes will be considered.
Accepted genres: drama, action, family, adventure, comedy, romance, thriller.
Submitted films must be produced between 2005-2013.
The submitting party must be able to offer SPI International the licensing rights including:
1. All TV and VOD rights – worldwide, non-exclusive.
2. Term: 7 years
3. Flat License Fee: USD 2,500
4. all language rights and all uses, if available local tracks at free access
Selection process
The deadline to submit entries is November 1st, 2013.
The selection committee will review only these submissions which meet the competition rules and regulations.
The selection committee will select the finalists by November 30th, 2013. The submitters of the selected works will be approached individually by a representative of SPI International who will present the licensing agreement allowing SPI to acquire the rights to screen the film on the FilmBox Art channel. Once the agreement has been signed the acquired work will be officially eligible for the cash prize.
The competition organizer will announce all the eligible entries by January 10, 2014.
The winner of the Filmbox Art Movie Award will be announced on www.spiintl.com website.
The Filmbox Movie Award, being a cash prize of $50,000 will be paid by a bank wire transfer to: either the film director or the previously indicated film producer(s) by February 20th, 2014 provided the winning party will have provided by this time all the required personal and tax information including the certificate of residence; the amount paid will be reduced by all applicable taxes.
