Category Rules

PLEASE NOTE- if your film is invited to participate at AmDocs 2016, you will need to have your film converted to a Digital Cinema Projection (DCP) file if you don't already have said format. We will have more information for you when applicable based on invitation. In some cases, Blu-Ray will be exhibited when not playing in a theatre, but you will still need to be prepared to have your film converted

At point of invitation and if you do not have a DCP, please submit highest quality media "files" of film as this will be the projected transfer of your work for DCP (we have a DCP conversion partner who will pass on special rates for our filmmakers) as well as a back-up non water-marked blu-ray version of said film. If you are sending a work-in-progress then be prepared for the above screening requirements in the event your film is chosen to screen. Please do NOT send a screener that has a WATERMARK embossed on image, either disc or on-line version. This distracts our viewers.

AmDocs encourages the filmmaker to go green and submit their screeners through WAB's upload service so that the film(s) can be viewed on-line.

Any payment by check must be made out to: Palm Springs Cultural Center

Please note when sending film submission preview that you DO NOT REQUIRE SIGNATURE from shipping service or USPS.
