ACCEPTANCE PROCESS

GIFF considers teleplays for all types of television programming, including, but not limited to, comedies, dramas, action adventures, thrillers and family friendly films.

GIFF does provide special consideration to shows that are consistent with the following criteria:

Programs that preserve the stories of military veterans in the arena of war and back on the home-front.

Programs that have at least one main character serving in the U.S. military who is depicted with respect.

For our international presentations, programs that depict the lives of international military veterans and/or the general worldwide struggle for liberty and democracy.

Programs of all types in which a military veteran will receive an above the line production credit

Entries will be judged by a Selection Committee. Select teleplays will be offered notes from an established television screenwriter and a dedicated pitch to one of the GI Film Festival's production partners.
