PRIZES & AWARDS
This category is a competition.

1st Place
This award is given to the high school filmmaker who demonstrates strong promise in quality filmmaking.

2nd Place
This award is given to the student who demonstrates noteworthy filmmaking efforts.

CATEGORY RULES
Any film under 17 minutes made by a high school student will be considered. All genres are welcome. We highly encourage films that depict diversity, or that are made by diverse peoples. The LADFF definition of "diversity" is one of a multicultural nature: It reflects our world realistically. This involves, but is not limited to, disability, race, LGBT, religion, and other social diversity.
Please refrain from submitting films that promote hate crimes, pornography, and cruelty to animals. These films will not be considered, and are the antithesis of our mission.
