European Features Competition
The European Features Competition recognises the best in European film making from first time directors.

Category Rules

The 2014 edition of Bradford International Film Festival will include a competition for new European feature (non-documentary) films. A winning film will be decided during the festival from a shortlist of six by an independent panel of invited judges. There will be an award for the winning film, details of which are to be announced.

To qualify, entries must have been produced in 2012 or 2013, have a running time of between 60 minutes and 120 minutes, do not have an arrangement for distribution in the UK, and have been produced either in an EU country (Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, UK) or Croatia, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Switzerland. UK premiere status is not a requirement, though will be seen as desirable.
