Category Rules

Any short experimental film. Although we prefer films under 15 minutes for programming purposes, anything under 50 minutes will be considered a short film. Please understand the longer your film, the harder it is for us to program. For the exhibition, we will either screen a short film before a feature film or with a series of other short films, although with experimental films and video art we sometimes find unique ways to showcase your work. We have built special "Kinetoscopes" that loop films throughout the festival to showcase experimental works. If we feel your film would be a good fit for this special showcase or another similar non-traditional screening, we'll contact you to discuss more.

Because we create our own programs for short films, if your film is selected we request a digital file so we can build our reel and show your film at the best resolution possible. We will guide you through this process if you are unsure how to do this.
