Category Rules

Student Dramatic Shorts must be a minimum of 3 minutes and a maximum of 5 minutes in length. Shorts must be themed from one of the main Family Resources (www.famres.org) service areas which include: domestic violence, delinquency, foster care and rape/sexual assault. The top entries will be shown at the Family Resources Opening Doors Film Festival event on April 12, 2014. The films should provide a powerful message to the viewers - this message could be about the power of the social issues itself, the importance of society caring about the issue, etc. This Film Festival raises money for Family Resources to fund the work of the agency. Nudity is not permitted. The audience will likely be over 21. Students must provide verification from a school representative that he/she is currently enrolled in school (Winter 2013-14 and/or Spring 2014).
