Category Rules

1. Film Blueprint is open to any feature length screenplay (no less than 80 pages) that is an original work. "Original work" is defined as any screenplay that is not derived from any other intellectual property, excluding an original treatment created by the same writers of the subsequent screenplay.

2. All screenplays must be in English.

3. All submitted screenplays must have a verifiable copyright number or a WGA registration number.

4. Screenplays that have qualified for the quarterfinal round or higher in the Nicholls Fellowship are not eligible to compete at the 2014 Mirage International Film Festival.

5. Screenplays that are under option, are currently being produced, or have been produced into feature films prior to August 13, 2014 are not eligible.

6. All screenplays must be submitted in PDF format, with a title page that displays the script's copyright or WGA registration number.

7. No revisions or missing pages will be accepted once entry has been received.

8. By submitting a screenplay, you are confirming that the property is free and clear to submit, that you have the legal right to submit the screenplay for review, and have full legal rights of authorship for the screenplay.

9. By submitting a screenplay, the submitter is relinquishing any legal rights to pursue any action against the Festival and/or it's affiliates or subsidiaries in any matter involving the screenplay, the writers of such screenplay, and/or any intellectual work that is derived from the screenplay.

10. If a submission involves two or more writers, any awards given will be presented to the submitter unless otherwise agreed in writing by the Festival.

11. You may submit more than one screenplay to the Festival competition however each entry requires a separate submission form, fee and script.

12. Awards are based on overall merit of the entries. Judges reserve the right not to grant an award.
