The First Look Student Film Program – 2014
ENTRY FORM

Eligibility Requirements
All films must have been completed after July 2012.
Films may not have screened in the Denver/Boulder metro area prior to the dates of SDFF. While a Colorado premiere is not a requirement for SDFF, it is taken into account when selecting the final program
Feature films must not have screened on U.S. television, in commercial release or on the Internet prior to the dates of the festival
All films not in English must be subtitled in English for presentation.

Submission Materials
In order for a film to be properly submitted and checked in, it must include:
Completed Entry Form
Preview DVD - Please indicate on the screener the title of the film as well as the run time
Proper Entry Fee

Entry materials will not be returned. All press kits and DVD screeners will be recycled
Multiple entries may be submitted by one person, but each film must come on a separate screener with a separate entry form.

If Your Work is Selected - Screening Requirements
SDFF can project works in 35mm, HDCAM, BluRay, and some DCP.
An electronic press kit, complete with production stills, 300 word synopsis and biography of the director must be sent to the DFS office as soon as possible.
5 additional DVD copies of your film should be sent to the DFS office for press requests
Film trailers, EPKs, posters and postcards should be sent to the DFS office for press and marketing departments
Exhibition copies should be received in the DFS office no later than October 14th

RULES AND GUIDELINES

SHORT LENGTH ONLY: For our purposes short length means 30 minutes or less.

PREVIEW TAPES WILL NOT BE RETURNED

ELIGIBILITY: All entrants must either be currently enrolled in a college, university or graduate-level or master's level institution OR, must have been enrolled, but recently graduated, from a college, university or graduate-level or master's level institution. "Recently Graduated" is defined as someone having graduated within one year of the festival submission deadline. The submitted film must have been primarily executed while you were enrolled as a student.
