Category Rules

TUCSON FILM FESTIVAL ENTRY RULES AND REGULATIONS

QUALIFICATION FOR ENTRIES: Any feature, short film or video, made for cinema, television or the Internet may be entered. Feature films must be between 60 and 120 minutes in length. All submitted works must be in English or have English subtitles. Only works completed after January 1, 2016 will be accepted.

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS: Works submitted for selection in the feature category must be presented only on BluRay (NTSC Region 0 or 1 only).

COMPLETED ENTRY FORM: TUCSON FILM FESTIVAL only accepts secure online screeners or private links with passwords for short film submissions. All other submitted materials become the property of TFF and cannot be returned.

SELECTION: All submitted works will be judged by the Festival Committee. The Festival Committee reserves the right to determine the eligibility of any project. Works will be categorized at the sole discretion of the Festival Committee. Selected entrants will be informed of their status on or around September 1, 2017.

SCREENING FORMAT: TFF screens selected Features on BluRay or DCP only. Short films must be delivered as NTSC QT ProRes(.mov) high resolution files.

SCREENING REQUIREMENTS: Features: If your work is selected to screen at the Tucson Film & Music Festival, you will be required to submit a BluRay or DCP of your film by the requested deadline. If the Festival office does not receive the required video copy in the proper format on or before to requested deadline, the selected work may be withdrawn from the festival.

Tucson Film & Music Festival also holds the following guidelines: selected films may not screen at another local festival/event within 45 days of screening at TFMF; and films cannot be available online to view at public websites i.e. Facebook, Vimeo, YouTube, etc. from the time of acceptance until after the festival has ended.
