Category Rules

Competition is open to films that follow the IFFF Mission Statement:
The International Family Film Festival (IFFF) promotes and encourages the creation and sharing of independent and studio produced films suitable for a general audience. It accomplishes the mission by producing year round events including an annual international film and screenplay competition (open to student and professional filmmakers) and festival which is open to the general public and is a Market for Film Distributors. Some of the major festival events are the IFFF Screenwriters Showcase, the film and screenplay related Panel Discussions ,and various Receptions and networking events.
All films must have been completed after September 2011 to be eligible for the 2013 competition. Other films may be screened "for presentation only".

All films produced on digital/video/film for television or theatrical release are eligible for competition.

All films must be in English, or sub-titled, or dubbed in English.

All film entries must include 2 copies of a DVD or Blu-ray (NTSC format) (no PAL), a completed entry form, and the entry fee. Please include a CD with this information for reproduction in the Program Book, 50 word synopsis, copyright/WGA number, photo of Director, list of production crew, resumes of principals, and 3 production stills or Poster. After the Official Selections for film and screenplay & Youth Fest! have been announced on January 28th, 2013, send a mounted Poster or photos for the VIP Reception Tent display. Include a SASE if you want your DVD/Blu-ray copies or Poster/photos returned.

New feature film format: 3-D projection on DCP format.

Unlimited multiple entries are accepted with a separate entry fee and entry form for each film or screenplay entry.

All film entrants grant the IFFF the right to copy PART of their production for judging, exhibition, national broadcast, website, and/or for promotional purposes only.

No film or screenplay may be withdrawn after January 25, 2013. All entry fees are non-refundable.

Each film entry will be screened by the pre-screening committee and rated for general content, treatment of subject, production value, creativity, overall impact, and if the IFFF Mission Statement guidelines are followed. Final jury decisions will be determined by a jury of industry professionals. All decisions are final.

The US Film & Screenplay Project Copyright and/or WGA# is REQUIRED in order to submit your project for this festival. If the film is an international project, this process may be eliminated. If the number is Pending, please indicate on the entry form.
