Category Rules

CANADIAN ELIGIBILITY AND ENTRY
Short films entered in the Canadian category must be Canadian productions or co-productions which have not been broadcast or screened commercially (ie: an advertised public screening for which admission is charged, excluding film school graduation screenings) in the Vancouver area. However, VIFF will consider short films that have been made available online. Films should have been completed after June 1, 2018.

SHIPPING AND RETURN
The Festival is not responsible for returning DVD copies.
Preview materials must be shipped prepaid. VIFF will not accept collect shipments and accepts no responsibility for loss or damage to preview materials.
Entrants will be notified regarding the results of the Festival’s selection process by August 30, 2019. (Please do not phone or email for results).
