Category Rules

To qualify for the feature film category, the film's running time must exceed 20 minutes and not exceed 120 minutes.
Films may be of any genre, including drama, comedy, thriller, action, horror, suspense, historical and family. Although we are the Poe Film Festival, films are not expected to include any reference to Edgar Allan Poe, his writings, his time era, a raven, etc.
But we are looking for creative storytelling, passion, intensity and the filmmaker's success in creating an emotional response in the viewer -- Poe's philosophy in storytelling.
All submissions must be online. We do not accept DVD, Blue Ray or DCP files.
