Category Rules

To qualify for the documentary film category, the film's running time must not exceed 100 minutes.
Films may be of any subject matter, must be non-fiction based. Although we are the Poe Film Festival, films are not expected to include any reference to Edgar Allan Poe, his writings, his time era, a raven, etc.
But we are looking for creative storytelling style, passion, intensity and the filmmaker's success in creating an emotional response in the viewer -- Poe's philosophy in storytelling.
All submissions must be online. We do not accept DVD, Blue Ray or DCP files.
