German Independence Award
The Festival's best independent feature is honoured with the German Independence Award voted for by the audience. The award is endowed with 2,000 Euro which will be split between the director and a German distributor of the film.

Cash Award Value: 2,000 Euro

German Independence Award - Best German Film
To promote emerging German independent filmmaking and its international approach, the Festival extended the award into the jury award category "Best German Film". It is endowed with 4,000 Euro which will be split between the director and a German distributor. The nominated films have to be presented with English subtitles. Nominated films must be produced after January 1st 2013.
Cash Award Value: 4,000 Euro

Seymour Cassel Award
This award is given for an outstanding performance by the international jury.
