Category Rules

GENERAL RULES

Please read all of these rules and guidelines before submitting your film to us this season.

Entry Formats
1.Secure Online Screener via Without A Box (preferred). No need to mail us anything (save time and money and our judges have access to your film at all times). Hard Copy Formats accepted for preview: DVD. (Region 0 or 1 NTSC format only!) Any film submitted in PAL and/or region 2+ will be disqualified. If mailing, please remember to send TWO DVD copies to us via U.S. Postal Service ONLY. Fed/Ex, UPS, DHL can not deliver to a Post Office Box address.
2. All films must have been completed after January 2011.
3. Foreign films must be dubbed or presented in their original language with English language subtitles. No exceptions.
4. Only one film per DVD please. We do not accept compilations.
5. Be SURE (ONLY IF MAILING AND NOT UPLOADING) to send TWO (2) copies of your film in two SEPARATE cases (DVD or jewel cases are preferred. Cardboard or paper sleeves are acceptable as well). Failure to send two copies or without any case/sleeve will result in disqualification.
6. If mailing hard copies, write full title of your film, running time, Without a Box (WAB) entry number and year of production on your DVD submission. (This will help our judges immensely and is truly appreciated).

Procedures
Complete the Without A Box information and either upload your film on Without A Box (preferred) OR mail us TWO clearly labeled DVDs in TWO separate cases/sleeves for review. (Please write the name of the movie, running time, WAB number and year of release somewhere on the label). If mailing, please use U.S. Postal Service ONLY.

Agreements
Submission of a work confirms that the Eerie Horror Film Festival has permission to exhibit submitted film during the Festival and at any other Festival related event. Submission of a work implies that the Festival can employ moving image excerpts and reproduce stills for exhibition promotion. Filmmaker confirms that they have received permission to use any and all copyrighted material (music, moving or still images, logos, etc) from the copyright holder and will not hold Eerie Horror Film Festival, Inc, Erie Film LLC nor any of their employees, board members, staff or volunteers responsible for any legal proceedings that may result from failure of filmmaker to secure such clearances. The Eerie Horror Film Festival makes no claim of ownership, etc of any film submitted to them. Filmmaker retains all rights to their production.

Film Length Definition
Feature films: 50 minutes or longer.
Short films: 49 minutes or less.
