Category Rules

Must be 18 years of age or older to enter the competition.

The entered script must not be or previously been sold, or produced.

Only original works of horror, science fiction, mystery, suspense or the supernatural will be considered.

Multiple authorship is allowed. If such a screenplay wins, the prize will be split between the writers.

Multiple entries are allowed, but each entry must be accompanied by their own completed entry form and their own appropriate entry fee. You are allowed to mail them to us in one package to save on postage.

No corrected pages or additional pages will be accepted after the screenplay has been entered. PLEASE be sure you double check your screenplay for errors, blank pages, etc., before mailing them to us! In the past we have accepted corrected copies, updated versions, etc,. The Eerie Horror Film Festival will no longer accept anything other than the original submitted work.

Please double check everything as your screenplay will be judged solely on the copy you submit/upload to us.

Submission Guidelines
* Upload via Withoutabox (preferred method - gives judges unlimited access to your screenplay as well. No need to mail us anything - saves time and money).
* If mailing hard copies of your screenplay (preferred), please enclose TWO (2) copies. Repeat - TWO.
* ALL Scripts MUST be written in English.
* Body pages must be correctly numbered.
* Script title page should contain name of screenplay, name of the author and the Withoutabox ID number (ONLY if submitting hard copies).

Guidelines for hard copy scripts :

* You MUST write the Withoutabox (WAB) tracking number on your script.
* Scripts must be in industry standard format and bound with 2 or 3 brads.
* Must be on white paper.
* Do not send originals as scripts will not be returned.
* The Eerie Horror Film Festival is not responsible for screenplays lost, stolen or damaged in transit.
* Please refer to your Withoutabox Confirmation Page for any additional instructions.

Script Length:

Feature scripts: 70 pages or more
Short scripts: 69 pages or less

Failure to comply with the guidelines, rules, regulations, or eligibility may be cause for disqualification.
