Category Rules

We are looking for for vital films that bring people together with universal stories, whether shorts, features or documentaries. Cinémonde was created to support thought-provoking cinema that need a special venue in New York City to reach intelligent audiences who work in the film & media industry. One of the key elements is having the filmmaker(s) present at the screening to present the film and participate in a Q&A afterwards with the audience. We also present films with other members of the creative team present for an exchange with the audience If the filmmaker cannot come to New York City, we are able to conduct a live Q&A with the audience by way of Skype.
