One film will be chosen as the best experimental piece from the Rural Route Festival.

One film will be chosen as the best fiction piece from the Rural Route Festival.
This prize is shared with other categories.

Category Rules

Once film is accepted you will need to provide digital still photos in JPEG format, size: 4"x6", 300dpi, along with a synopsis and filmmaker bio.

If selected, a final print in composite 35mm, 16mm, Super 8, hi-res QT, or bluray DVD is required before July 1, 2015.

In the cover letter section above, please include a short explanation of what makes your film "rural." This can also be included with the preview copy.

Also, after the festival selections have been made, there is a possibility that your film might be chosen for the Rural Route offseason "highlights" tour, which showcases festival picks in big city, small city, and small town venues across the country and around the world.
