EuroCinema Hawaii Scholarship
An important part of EUROCINEMA Hawaii’s 501c3 charter is dedicating funds towards Scholarships and Cash Awards to creative media students in the state of Hawaii who demonstrate extraordinary promise and talent in the fields of cinema, television, documentaries, and animation. A cash award of $3000 is given annually for the best student film. To compete for this award, the filmmaker must meet all three qualifications: 1. The filmmaker must be a current Hawaii resident, and send in a photo copy of his or her school ID at the time the film was completed. 2. The filmmaker must be currently enrolled in an accredited academic institute. 3. The film must be between 5 to 10 minutes in length.

CATEGORY RULES
THIS CATEGORY IS OPEN TO HAWAII RESIDENTS ONLY.

All films must have a runtime no longer than 10 minutes.

This category is open to films or videos made by students UNDER 18 YEARS OF AGE (grades K - 12) either individually, under adult guidance, or as part of a class project.

There are NO ENTRY FEES for projects completed by students UNDER 18 YEARS OF AGE (grades K - 12).

The student film category includes all genres. This includes films made inside the classroom, outside the classroom, films made individually or with a group, and films made with adult supervision.

UNFORTUNATELY, THERE IS NO FEE WAIVER FOR FILMS MADE BY COLLEGE AND GRADUATE STUDENTS.
