CATEGORY RULES
Submitting filmmaker MUST BE 17 years of age or younger to qualify.

If you are 18 years of age or older you can NOT submit to this category. Those found to be in violation will have their film disqualified from competition.

A parent or legal guardian MUST fill out and sign all the required paperwork for filmmakers under the age of 18.

Each work is judged solely on its own merits.

Entry Formats
1. Formats accepted for preview: DVD (Region 0 or 1 NTSC format only - all other formats will be discarded and will result in disqualification) or Secure Online Screener (via Without A Box).
2. All films must have been completed after January 2010.
3. Foreign films must be dubbed or presented in their original language with English language subtitles.
4. Only one film per DVD please. We do not accept compilations.
5. Send TWO submission copies of your film for review.

Procedures
Complete the Without A Box information and send us a clearly labeled DVD for review. (Please write the name of the movie, running time and year of release somewhere on the label). A Press Kit is requested but not required. Paper entry forms are also available for download from our website: http://www.spiritquestfilmfest.com .

Agreements
Submission of your film to our competition confirms that the Spirit Quest Film Festival has permission to screen your film at our annual event and at any other Festival related event, including special screenings and promotional activities. By submitting your film, you also grant permission to the Festival to employ moving image excerpts and reproduce stills for exhibition and promotion purposes. Filmmaker confirms that he or she has acquired any and all copyright clearances necessary for exhibition of their film at said events (ie: music included on the soundtrack, a logo or trademark shown in the film, etc). Filmmaker agrees to accept all responsibility for the content of their film and any dispute that may arise from use of copyrighted material.

Disclaimer:
Every precaution will be exercised in handling entries, but neither the Festival organizers, employees, sponsors, nor participating organizations can assume responsibility for damage to or loss of materials submitted. Do NOT send films via UPS or Fed/Ex. They can not deliver packages to a PO Box. Please submit two copies of your entries. All films MUST be NTSC format - other formats (ie: PAL, etc) will be discarded and disqualified.

Film Length Definition
Feature films: 45 minutes or longer.
Short films: 44 minutes or less.
