Category Rules

Hello Filmmakers!

We are celebrating the 14th Annual Edition of the Miami Short Film Festival. Submit your film for the chance to win a variety of prizes

2015 RULES & REGULATIONS

• Pay with a credit card
• The film's total running time should between 1 to 20 minutes
• Films in other language than English must have English subtitles
• Only digital submission are accepted true WAB privet screening system for previewing at the MsFF 2015
• The festival accepts Documentaries, Environmental, Experimental, Animation, Narrative and Music Videos.
• The festival accepts films shot on 35mm, 16mm, 8mm, HD or Video
• If your film is accepted the screening version must be uploaded to our server.
• The MSFF reserves the right to show short clips of submitted films to promote the festival (Internet / TV / other media)
• The MsFF reserves the right to use still images from the film to promote the festival
• Announcement of accepted films will be posted on the MsFF website prior to the event
• Awards available to win are: Best Animation, Best Documentary, Best Experimental, Best Environmental, Best Narrative, Best Music Video, Best Local, Best Foreign, Best Cell Short and Best of Festival
• All films in the festival's "Official Selection" will be considered for nomination to win Best Of in its category
• All south Florida "Official Selection" films are automatically considered for nomination to a special Best Local category
• All foreign "Official Selection" films are automatically considered for nomination to a special Best Foreign
• All Best of Category winners (including Best Local and Best Foreign) are automatically nominated to the Best of Festival category
