Category Rules

Filmmakers in the Experimental (Over 18) category must be over 18 on the final date of late accepted entries, 18th March 2013.

Your film must be uploaded to the WAB website for judging as as a secure online screener during the entry process. It is also very important to upload your press-kit to WAB, with photos and information, as we try to choose the festival's poster and programme image from the competition films' artwork, with the filmmaker's permission. We will contact filmmakers whose films have been selected for viewing at our festival before 1st May 2013 with details as to how to upload their films to us. There is an option to send us DVDs after selection for exhibition...see general rules for more details.

Filmmakers who enter their film into the Experimental category and have their film selected are automatically entered into the Best of Festival International competition, which carries a prize of € 2,000.

If the director of the film is Irish, or if the film was shot in Ireland with an Irish production company, the film will be considered for the Best Irish Short Film prize, which also carries a prize of €1,500.
