This category is a competition.

1st Place
Snowdance short and super short films of all categories are considered for this award. The AIFF top prize among Snowdance short and super short films is an Alaskan Native handcarved walrus oosik (petrified bone) and a certificate of achievement.

2nd Place
Snowdance short and super short films of all categories are considered for this award. A certificate of achievement is the 2nd place prize in each category.

Category Rules

Any Snowdance super short length film completed after January 1, 2011, regardless of content or subject. will be accepted. Length must be at least 1:00 minute and no more than 9:59 minutes. The film cannot have been screened in Alaska, or in any other US state, on broadcast or cable TV, prior to December 9, 2012. Films being sold commercially on DVD may not be accepted at the programming director's discretion.

Snowdance special rules:
The submitted film must have been either principally filmed in Alaska or the filmmaker (director/producer) is a current resident of Alaska. All other festival rules apply.
