MISSION & OBJECTIVE
Looking Beyond The Gloss and Putting Talent Before Technology.

http://www.lift-off-festival.com

BAFTA considered and accredited. Lift-Off International Film Festival has a plan, which is to create a strong and truly independent platform for filmmakers, showcasing official selections in Europe and the United States, building an industry within the industry, and helping to launch the careers of their filmmakers.

With the aim to create a truly self reliant indie movement through the transatlantic exchange of exceptional independent film from all over the globe, Lift-Off's motto is to "Look Beyond The Gloss - Putting Talent Before Technology", this means that it doesn't matter what camera you used or what fancy lens kit. It is all about the talent in-front of the camera, the words off the page, the direction, the filling of a frame with narrative, and the emotional journey.

Lift-Off's mission is clear; Lift-Off Film Festivals want to become the largest independent only festival, free of agents, film stars or production house sample films. We want filmmakers at the grass roots and we want to help these artists to achieve their potential.

ABOUT THE FESTIVAL
Lift-Off is looking for British and international filmmakers who have the craft and understanding of directing actors and delivering exceptional story structure in screen or in print. If you think the festival might be for you then check out Lift-Off's website, where you'll find festival submission tips, previous programmes and trailers for upcoming events.

When a film wins at London Lift-Off it is then screened at the subsequent festivals in Liverpool, Las Vegas, and Los Angeles.

Overall winners are then sent through to BAFTA for their annual awards within the category listings.

Now in its fourth year; student and professional film makers have the chance to showcase their work in an unbiased environment?

From the submission fees collected we are able to find and secure the best venues, hire PR and marketing agencies to showcase you as a filmmaker, market to audiences and have our festivals completely FREE TO ATTEND for the general public.

A submission fee to Lift-Off is a donation that will ultimately support independent film globally, and bring audiences to your work outside of any on-line, film-making, friendship or film school community.

Send us your work.

This year is a chance to receive professional feedback for every submission, something we think is vital to any filmmaker or script writer.

We will be bringing in an industry professional specific to your work to analyse your submission. They will give you concise feedback and help on how to rectify problems; with possible ideas on which festivals/markets to target in the future.

The London Lift-Off Film Festival will be programming student films with professional/independent ones and then voting on them on individual merit rather than containment within category.

Every single film that is submitted will be treated the same and entered into the same pot. Awards will be given to the highest standards in drama, acting, story structure and artistic merit. A large budget and glossy production value means nothing to us at Lift-Off -- all we care about is great delivery of an honest story.

If you are an ambitious filmmaker who wants to join an ever expanding community of artists ready to showcase your work to live audiences in cinemas around the world submit to us today.

Support indie film. Look beyond the gloss. Put talent before technology.

EVERY SINGLE SUBMISSION WILL RECEIVE AN IMDB PAGE!
