MISSION & OBJECTIVE
Albany FilmFest's mission is to connect community and the arts, and to encourage the exchange of original creative expression by independent filmmakers inside and outside our quirky 1-square-mile city. AFF welcomes new and experienced filmmakers of all ages.

ABOUT THE FESTIVAL
The Albany FilmFest is a national juried festival of original, creative, and independent short films (and really short films) that takes place each year in Albany, California. Our quirky little 1-square-mile city is in the heart of the San Francisco Bay Area — right next door to Berkeley and directly across from the Golden Gate Bridge. We’ve been working to connect community and the arts and to encourage creative expression and conversation inside and outside Albany since 2011.

AFF is a volunteer project of the City of Albany’s Community Media Access Committee in conjunction with the City of Albany and cable channel KALB. We are partnered with the non-profit Albany Community Foundation (ACF), which supports projects and activities that promote volunteerism and community spirit. ACF receives monetary donations on behalf of Albany FilmFest. All donations are tax deductible.
