MISSION & OBJECTIVE
The Madrid International Film Festival is an international film event to celebrate the movie making whilst bringing together film makers and the business of film making, from the smallest independent film maker to the most popular English and foreign language films and is open to all film genres.

An inventive selection that is neither too traditional nor too sophisticated, a selection that is the most international in the world, open to all film types and yet never forgetting our over-riding passion- that of the love of film, a selection that is attentive to the arrival of new generations and which combines all the necessary conditions for the films to be hosted and honoured in the great tradition of film makers around the world.

A daring selection that seizes the best of the moment, a selection that creates desire, that triggers curiosity, that carries that certain vitality which currently fills film today and gives a hint of the film of tomorrow, a selection that helps these films, cinema, its creators and artists to exist and to continue their work....

As for the rest, always place film at the centre of our acts. Generally, to take nothing into account other than the art of film and the Prue-eminence of artistic talent, finally to facilitate transmission, so that tomorrow's Festival can continue the adventure with the combined strengths of experience and modernity Contributing towards the development of Cinema, boosting the film industry worldwide and celebrating making of film at an International Level

The Official Selection serves to highlight the diversity of cinematic creation through its different sections, the two most important of which are the Competition and UN Certain Regard. Films that are representative of “arthouse cinema with a wide audience appeal” are presented in Competition, and Un Certain Regard focuses on works that have an original aim and aesthetic, the Madrid International Film Festival Awards will be in on films entered in 2011 and 2014 The Filmmaker Award.

At Madrid International Film Festival short films feature in the Competition, in the Short Film Corner, a professional area dedicated to meeting people, exchanging ideas and promoting films.

We have built a small but exceptional professional network of industry professional that will look at all films entered and will give business and commercial advice, in some cases the distributors attending will make offers to the filmmakers for their work and to work together to put your movies in the market place, we have the people and skills in our professional team to make this happen, if the professional attending feel there is a market for your movie, they will as with many films over the years of our other festival make it happen.
We are unique in the amount of platforms and festival we offer filmmakers, we can create a ripple for your movie to be seen around the world, it all starts here by entering your movie.

The Festival is very keen to discover new talent and act as a springboard for creation. The development of the producers network gives filmmakers an oppertunity to pitch there future production.

The Madrid International film Festival is a truly International Film Festival open to industry professionals.
