MISSION & OBJECTIVE
An annual, not for profit, competitive and non-competitive film festival organized to encourage better understanding between people and to make a positive contribution to the art form of film.

ABOUT THE FESTIVAL
During 9 festival days, the Olhar de Cinema – Curitiba International Film Festival offers a wide and a good quality selection of independent films from around the world which have an innovative and committed character.

With sense of urgency, this event was created to fill a gap in the Paranaense and Brazilian landscape of cinema. Making no requirement of Premieres, the festival’s goal is to promote reflection about cinema and develop different point of views by highlighting short and feature films that are not common in Brazilian theaters.

Comprising several cultural expressions, the festival seeks a selection of films that communicate with each other. Our intention is that the mix of new talents, veterans directors, prestigious guests and the audience present becomes the soul of the festival.

Screenings. Discussions. Workshops. Seminar. Reflections.Training. Exchange of ideas. All these things in a dynamic and friendly atmosphere. Partnerships and opportunities being created around cinema. This is what we want!

We thank the sponsors and supporters of the event which made possible the realization of this project.

Thank you!
